The ELC is searching for new farm stewards at our Furzehill site on the Gower in South Wales. The available plot is 5.88 acres of relatively flat grass, with good access and well sheltered by healthy hedgerows. The land has been well managed previously with good soil and stock proof fencing, and is a stone’s throw from the beach. Applicants will be supported by the ELC to submit a One Planet Development planning application to the local council for low impact residential planning permission with an agricultural tie. As such, the overall timeframe for living and working on the site is unknown, however, there are opportunities to use the site for purely agricultural purposes before One Planet Development permission is granted. The site will be shared by Cae Tan CSA, and The Rowan Tree, a cut flower and veg box business.
